Been awhile since i blogged... probably cuz i only blog when i'm on either end of the emotional spectrum....
Yesterday was a real bummer... but the fact that i was wandering ard orchard alone wasn't the cause. A little solitude is always welcomed. Rather, it was the rip off dinner i had at scott's foodcourt + pricey books at borders + IMF presentation + the damn msn worm virus!
The Dinner:
For 3.50, my Mee pok was pathetic! the noodles were non-existent. In an attempt to salvage the situation i bought some soursop desert, for 2.30. It turned out too be way too sweet! So bad, i couldn't force myself to finish it.
Pricey books:
This was the least bummer of all, but still.... Sigh... why must the books i wanna buy always hav to be so EX! Do i hav such expensive taste in books? hahaha.. 100 odd for 3 books, worth it? walked all the way to the cashier before deciding against purchasing. sigh...
IMF Presentation:
Bummer of all bummers! Firstly, our group spent alot of time and effort (especially sean, my heart goes out to u) on this project but were denied a presentation not once but twice! Now we're the only grp yet to present and it seems we'll never get the chance. Sucks. I mean, our instructors gave us an impression that this project was to be taken seriously, and would be presented in front of 'big shots' like our CO and CI. But, in the end, neither turned up. Ok, still fine wif me. But to disrespect us during our presentation is unacceptable! U'll might be of higher rank, but everyone deserves respect regardless of rank. We always been drilled that as Junior commanders, we need to lead by example etc. But from the behaviour u'll have shown us, ur words are all but hypocritical. Firstly, u'll asked really really dumb questions and focused on the unimportant. Ok, i can understand if it came frm Warrant Thng or Warrant Cher (being 'uneducated') but majority of the dumb qs came from Lt Tan, my Officer-in-command (OC). -more of her later- Secondly, Wo Thng falling asleep?!?! Being inattentive, havin private consersations?!?! rude interruptions?!?! Your conduct simply left me flabbergasted. Let's talk abt OC... For a diploma holder and an Officer, she really is a disgrace!She's a real dumbass! I'll like to brand her retarded, but that''ll do injustice to mentally-challenged people.To start, she boosted abt her presentation skills blah blah blah and asked us to learn frm her. Oh give us a break! We all noe abt ur 'superb' presentation skills, how u can spend 40mins on 1 slide, how incoherent ur speech is, how u beat-ard-the-bush when addressing a pt, how u always digress and go out of pt. After which, she started a nonsensical arguement (not a debate, an arguement, for she paid no attention to our pt of view) abt how the total distance calculated in one of the group's projects was inaccurate. Ok, some background infomation- the grp planned a route wif the aid of StreetDirectory.com total distance travelled is a feature provided by the website. Furthermore, at every checkpoint the distance will be shown to 3 significant figures (e.g 5.63 km) So she argued dat the total distance covered is inaccurate becuz each checkpt was rounded off. So the small changes, when added up, would amount to a significant inaccuracy. Valid, but false. Why? Cuz the total distance covered was not calculated by adding each rounded off distance frm each checkpt. It was calculated seperately and den rounded off to 3 s.f. Might be a bit diff to digest, anyways bottomline is, she's a dumbass! hahaha.. Too stubborn to admit her mistake, she proceeded to leave the room to call her math teacher?!?! But as she opened the back door, the door handle came off (this is common cuz the door's kinda broken). But being as stupid as she is.. she didn't noe how to fix it back... She shoved the handle in such a way that it obstructed the door from closing! Embarassed and at her wits' end she decided not to call her teacher and went back to her seat leaving the door ajar, hoping nobody noticed. And for the finale, she asked the Mother of all dumbass questions! While watching a computer animated diagram of how vehicles will enter the carpark and park at the respective lots, she asked:" How come the car go one round den disappear, ah?" the STUPIDITY! Not a day goes by without me wondering how she made it through psle and how she achieved her officer rank! Arrggghhh! My blood boils just thinkin abt her!
Msn Virus:
This is really suay... Juz weeks after reformattin my hard disk to rid my com of the trojan horse, i hav to reformat it again! This time to get rid of a worm virus. Everyone pls be warned, there's a worm circulating on the MSN messenger! It auto sends itself in the form of a file transfer from an infected user to everyone online on his/her contact list. So pls do not accept any file named 'funny' frm any user or verify wif ur fren before accepting any files. Unfortunately for me, i was too quick to accept the file frm Charlie... I'll like to apologise to Xiaohui, for she was the unlucky one to get it frm me. Sorry, i couldn't warn u in time unlike the rest.
