Yesterday, i was given a big shock by my direct boss. He told me i was goin over to 4 SAB immediately on official attachment. I was expecting the attachment, but the lack of prior notice left me a little stunned. haha.. So, i went over to 4sab that afternoon not knowing wat to expect. The terms of my attachment left alot to be desired. basically, they expected me to follow their 'timing' which meant dat i'll be stayin in frm sun nite to fri nite and it also meant dat i'll basically will not have any interaction wif my fellow ANG 2 unit mates for the rest of my NSF life which really sucks! I mean... i belong to ANG2 not 4 sab. If dat wasn't enuf, i only knocked off at 820pm... worst thing is i wasn't doin tpt sup work, i was doin saikang! wtf, i'm there to be a tpt sup, not a saikang warrior! today was the same... so i immediately sounded off to the 4sab mto and demanded dat he explain y i'm in this situation. He told me dat i'll hav to wait a few wks before assuming any appointment, so i'll juz hav to wait and help out whenever help is needed, ie saikang. He proceeded to ask his men if they had any work for me, men who r lower ranked den me! not exactly respecting me... he even made sarcastic remarks like, "go draw lines or something' that was the last straw... i immediately walked out of the office and returned to my unit. I lodged a complaint wif my immediate boss, and he said he'll speak to the 4 sab mt sgt. After that, i remained in ANG 2 till 530 before returning to 4 sab. Fortunately, during the last parade, i was told dat i'll be returning to ANG 2 immediately cuz, HQ Armour, our higher command said dat my boss did not inform them of the attachment so they will not allow me to go over to 4 sab.. Thank you HQ Armour! now i dun need to stay in, well at least for now. hahah. still booked out late though, ard 7... but who cares... as long as i remain in ANG 2 hahaha
Anyways, enuf abt my attachment. I'm thinking of volunteering myself to provide aid at Aceh. Yeah its a really big decision, but i'm seriously considering. Anyways, my S3 has said dat he will not offer any ANG 2 men unless asked to by SAF cuz he realises the high risks involve. But he did mentioned dat if ANG 2 is called upon to provide aid, he will accept any volunteers. haven't spoken to my parents abt it yet, still waiting for the ideal opportunity, ie over dinner hahaha.. wonder if they'll support my decision. sigh... this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and a very meaningful and fulfilling expierence. furthermore, i really dun do much in the army now. Although, i'll only be there to give out rations, transport supplies etc. i'll be issued with live ammunition, complete wif grenades etc. in case the rebels were to try anything funny. scary huh? plus the duration i'll be there is really subjected to change. i guess it can range frm a few mnths to maybe even a yr... not goin to be easy esp wif the current conditions. with the high risk involved i'm not sure if i can be cleared to go Aceh... i'll see la... ANG 2 has to be called upon before anything can materialise anyways..
