Was awaken by a phone call at 450am this morning... my 3 drivers involved in the live firing exercise had yet to report to SOA (sch of armour). When it comes to live firing, time is very precious, so the SOA personnel were understandably kan cheong. Screwed up thing is, i could not get a single one of the 3 via hp, so i was forced to drive down to their bunks and check out if they had overslept. But, when i reached no drivers were in their bunks. So i quickly headed back to the mt line, hoping dat they had oredi left for SOA. Back at the mt line, an SOA personnel informed me dat the last L/R driver had still yet to report! This bloody driver is goin to get it from me, from my mto, and th SOA officers! His hp is not in service, he's not at his bunk... the asshole AWOL... How the hell am i goin to find a replacement driver at such short notice, on a sun in the wee hrs of the morning!?!?! I immediately called my officer for further instruction, but he was at a lost too.. Luckily, another driver had a diff detail ard 930am and he had oredi booked in last nite, so i suggested we use him and worry abt replacing his detail later. Live firing is our first priority hahah. So i proceeded to call the driver, but his hp was switched off (later i learned that he no longer has a hp, cancelled or lost or something la) So yet another stumbling block for me! Fortunately, i noe where's his bunk so i drove down to his bunk and woke him up. After which, i drove him to SOA, only to find dat they had oredi left for the field! Yet another twist! haha... So i returned to the mt line and gave the SOA officer a call. He asked my driver to proceed to the traingin area by himself, but both the driver and myself weren't sure how to get dere... so we had to rush off again to the cook house and try to catch the 5 ton driver collecting the breakfast for the training ex. He will be able to lead my driver to the training area. Luckily, we were able to catch the 5 ton driver, phew... hahaha.. wat a start to my sunday! Haha kinda fun to speed ard in camp! hehehe..
