Today i discovered only the second strand of white hair i've ever had! more or less from the same spot.. my first was earlier in the yr.. its really strange cuz i nvr ever sprout white hair.. haha.. aging? furthermore, i'm hardly leading a stressful life rite now! suppression maybe?
Anyways, i had a great day today! finally met up with my chidhood fren, Giles. We haven't seen each other since sec sch.. dats like freaking 3yrs w/o communication! I've known Giles since nursery would you believe it? He's my oldest friend. I tot i saw the last of him when we left kindergarden.. but low and behold.. i see him at ACJS! infact, quite a no. of my kindergarden frens went to js.. always found dat odd.. anyways.. Giles orso went to barker... infact he was my tennis doubles partner in the sch team. But we were often in different classes and when he went to poly we totally loss communication.. but can't be too hard on ourselves, we're weren't really in the cell phone and internet' age.. all i had was his home no. which i got during pri sch haha.. but thanks to friendster, he contacted me last yr and we xchanged hp nos. its taken me a yr to finally set up a meeting, quite guilty abt dat... but oh wells.. juz glad i finally did.
But before i continue, juz like to add dat 'Giles' is such a unique name rite? nvr heard of anyone else with dat name. think its the most unique one i've ever heard.. more unique den mine.. which is really funny and special in a way to me.. dat both of us have unique names haha.. and for those who r wondering how its pronounced, its: ja-isles. something like dat la..
ok, back to the main story. So, we met up for some tennis at my house. Couldn't believe i was nervous la! almost as nervous as a first date! didn't help dat he was late! haha.. he looked and sounded different.. his small eyes seemed smaller! haha and his voice is alot deeper den i had remembered. but other den dat, he was the same old Giles i've known. needless to say, he beat me in tennis.. he's always been the more consistent one while i was the one more prone to making errors haha.. plus he's fitter den me now, being in army and all haha. tho the tennis was fun, finally able to spar with someone ard my standards, the catching up was wat i really yearned for. I was surprised to find out his elder sis studied psych and is currently doin some research at NIE! It was heartwarming to noe dat tho we've not spoken for yrs, there wasn't any akwardness at either end. I'm thankful for that. Hopefully it won't be too long till we meet again.
